Tip: Rattan is considered one of the most sustainable materials for furniture construction. The plant, which comes from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, is made bendable under steam and is used in the production of furniture, baskets, toys, but also lamps. In the 60s, the material was very fashionable and is currently being rediscovered by many Scandinavian designers.
